The bench holds 186 kids. Every one of them got scouted, verified, and painted by hand. There is no signup form, and that is the point.
How the roster grows
The yard grows by scouting, not applications. Every kid on the bench is a real designer with a real body of work. Identity gets verified before a single pixel of art is painted, the art gets reviewed by hand, and the scouting report gets written by people who read the actual portfolio. A spot in the yard is slow on purpose.
New kids arrive in small batches, whenever the scouts clear them. When a designer gets drafted onto the bench, they get their own player card and a scouting report at their own corner of the yard.
